Kiridashi is a traditional Japanese working knife for cutting leather or woodworking. Cold Steel is now bringing the tried and tested knife in a clip-on version. The Kiridashi model is lightweight, thin and very practical, so it won't bother you at all during everyday wear. It offers a very sharp, classically shaped blade made of Japanese 4034 Stainless Steel. Stainless steel is comparable in properties to AUS8A or 440C. The very comfortable Griv Ex™ matrix handle is not subject to material fatigue, such as wood, does not crack, bend or absorb moisture or odours from the materials being processed. It is of course equipped with the Tri-Ad Lock locking system. The lock prevents the knife from closing spontaneously or unintentionally even after natural wear over time.

The Kiridashi has been a staple knife for craftsmen, students and everyday users in Japan for centuries - used for cutting leather, wood, paper and other everyday tasks. Cold Steel has decided to take the legend and transform it into a modern closing knife that retains the original functionality but offers improved ergonomics, safety and durability. The Kiridashi from Cold Steel is a practical, lightweight, slim and affordable tool that fits in every pocket.
