The Ferrino Hekla 3 four-season tent is suitable for mountaineers, trekkers and hikers who will use it for winter hiking, mountain crossings, trekking and sleeping on windy ridges. It combines a quick and easy setup with reliability and thermal comfort, even in changeable weather. It provides a comfortable rest and a good night's sleep for three people. It offers a flysheet with a 3000mm water column and a groundsheet with an 8000mm water column. The dome construction can withstand even demanding conditions. The poles are made of hardened 7001 T6 aluminium alloy and, together with the spacer pegs, help to hold the tent more firmly in the terrain. The colour-coded connecting cord makes pitching the tent clearer. The inner tent is suspended from the flysheet using sleeves.

You can use the Ferrino Hekla 3 tent all year round. It features a front vestibule for easier gear handling, fully opening doors with an external mosquito net, and ventilation sleeves with a foul-weather system. The tent is quick and easy to set up. It has reflective storm guy lines and a tensioning system at the bottom corners of the flysheet. You'll also find gear loops, internal pockets for small items and an internal lamp hook. The seams on the flysheet and groundsheet are taped, while the corners of the groundsheet are reinforced with three layers.

The Ferrino Hekla 3 tent is made from very high-quality materials. The flysheet is made of durable Double Ripstop 50D nylon with a thermally insulating aluminised polyurethane layer, which provides protection in demanding weather. The aluminised insulating layer contributes to thermal comfort on cold, windy nights. The inner tent is made of Ripstop 70D polyester, which offers water repellency and breathability. The groundsheet, made from 100% recycled 70D polyester with a thermally insulating polyurethane layer, has a weight of 95g/m². The insulating layer promotes thermal comfort from the ground up and also helps with protection against moisture.

Water column
Indicates the resistance of the fabric and seams to water penetration. It specifies the amount of water the material can hold before it starts to leak. The higher the value in mm, the more resistant the tent is. Every tent should have a flysheet with a water column of at least 2000mm, which is approximately the pressure exerted by a raindrop travelling at 80–90km/h. To survive a storm unscathed, a water column of at least 3000mm is safer. For the groundsheet, a water column of 5000mm is recommended for general hiking. For more demanding conditions, choose a groundsheet with a water column of 8000–10000mm.Specifications
