Construction and Field Use
The core of the bag is Mylar fabric, which works by reflecting thermal radiation. This helps to retain up to 90% of your body heat, which is crucial for survival in cold conditions. However, it is important to be aware that the bag is not breathable and condensation may occur inside. Therefore, it requires regular ventilation. The bag also provides no insulation from the ground, so you should always use it with a sleeping mat. It is suitable for emergency overnight stays in temperatures above 0°C. In freezing temperatures below 0°C, it serves exclusively as a supplement to a regular sleeping bag or as part of rescue equipment.
