The HD-S 223 DVR satellite receiver is used to receive free-to-air digital television and radio programmes via satellite in DVB-S and DVB-S2 standards, in both SD and HD quality. The device processes signals in up to Full HD resolution, and allows for the direct recording of television broadcasts to external USB storage media. The receiver operates in the frequency range of 950 to 2,150MHz and requires a 230V mains supply at a frequency of 50Hz. Weighing 246g, the receiver measures 4 × 18 × 10cm, making it easy to place in spaces with limited room.

Recording on the Satellite Receiver
The integrated digital video recorder supports saving TV shows to a connected external hard drive or flash drive via the USB 2.0 interface. The timeshift function allows you to pause a running programme at any time and resume it from the point of interruption. One USB 2.0 port is available for data storage. The device supports recording to external storage and LNB power with a maximum current of 500mA, with a vertical voltage of 14V and a horizontal voltage of 18V.
Electronic Programme Guide (EPG)
The Electronic Programme Guide displays a broadcast overview for up to seven days in advance. A total of 5,000 programme presets for television and radio stations can be stored in the internal memory. The system includes a multilingual menu, offering English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, and Russian. This allows users to easily navigate settings and information about currently running programmes in their chosen language.
Satellite Receiver Interfaces
One HDMI output or an analogue SCART interface is used to connect to a television. The S/PDIF digital optical audio output transmits the audio signal to an external amplifier or home cinema system. The decoder processes MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 H.264 video formats and audio tracks in AAC, MP3, MP2, or OGG formats. The integrated USB media player supports displaying images in BMP, JPEG, GIF, and PNG formats, or playing video files such as MKV, MP4, MOV, MPG, TS, TS4, VOB, M2TS, and AVI.
Single-Cable SatCR Solution
The device supports SatCR technology according to EN50494 and EN50607 standards, which simplifies antenna distribution. The internal power supply has an operational energy consumption of a maximum of 8W, while in standby mode, the power consumption drops below 0.5W. The device operates in a temperate climate at temperatures from 5 to 35°C and air humidity from 10 to 75%.
