There's also a classic analogue RCA input for a wired connection to a CD player, television, or turntable. A USB port is also available, allowing you to play content from flash drives (up to 32GB). A 3.5mm AUX-OUT output is used to connect another speaker, receiver, or amplifier. You can also connect an external subwoofer via the dedicated output (Sub Out), which turns the Thomson WS502 into a full-fledged 2.1 system.
Number of Channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent audio signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in an X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It specifies how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and more).
System Type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier and only needs to be connected to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly, to listen. Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are intended more for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect various sources through a separate amplifier.Specifications
