A reliable overview of what's happening on the road
The TomTom Tom is a smart device designed for cars, vans and lorries. It provides an overview of current road conditions from over 600 million devices worldwide. It alerts drivers to speed cameras, hazards, traffic density and exceeding the speed limit. Installation is quick and easy—simply pair the device with your smartphone and install the free TomTom mobile app.
The TomTom Tom smart traffic assistant is an invaluable companion on the road. It alerts you to fixed and mobile speed cameras* and danger zones (e.g. in France). Trajectory monitoring is accompanied by both audible and visual alerts.
The TomTom Tom alerts you in good time to traffic jams, road works, accidents and stationary vehicles. Unlike standard navigation systems, it also provides information about objects on the road, poor conditions or drivers on the wrong side of the road.
By collecting data from over 600 million devices, the Tom smart traffic assistant knows literally everything before you even notice. TomTom Traffic saves precious seconds that can sometimes be fatal. Avoid sudden stops, unexpected slowdowns or dangerous traffic jam tails.
Installing the smart traffic assistant is easy. Use the magnetic mount with adhesive tape to easily attach the device to your dashboard. Once paired with the TomTom app, the smart traffic assistant will automatically switch on when you start your car. The individual alerts are clearly colour-coded:
Simple and fast connection to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
The world's largest network of drivers sharing real-time traffic information.
All the features of the smart traffic assistant are free—no forced subscriptions or hidden fees.
Privacy and user data protection:
TomTom does not have access to users' personal data and never uses this data for tracking or advertising purposes. All data processing is used exclusively to improve our services—traffic management, speed camera alerts or information about traffic hazards. Our activities are governed by strict European data protection regulations, including GDPR, which are among the strictest in the world.
*Local legislation by country:
