WD 2.5" Elements SE 2TB black
If you need to store a modest amount of data, a flash disk will do just fine. An external disk, however, has much more space available than a flash disk, even though it's not much heavier. The drive WD 2.5" Elements SE 2TB black is a HDD. An HDD is the normal platter disk. Its main advantage is its low purchase price.
What External Hard Disk Capacity Should You Get?
HDDs come in a wide variety of sizes. 500GB is considered to be the "basic" HDD capacity, although even 2TB is not as absurdly large as it may seem.
For magnetic disks, speed is listed in RPM (Revolutions per Minute). Weaker disks spin at 5400 RPM, while the faster and more expensive ones have a speed of 7200 RPM. The overall data copy/transfer speed is also affected by the interface, for instance, USB 2.0 can hardly surpass USB 3.0. This disk is equipped with a USB 2,0, USB 3,0 (3,1 gen1) and USB 3,1 (3,1 gen2) port.
