The MSI MAG 244C gaming monitor combines speed and immersive visuals on its 23.6" screen. It uses a curved VA panel with a 1500R curvature radius, which envelops the user's field of view and contributes to a better perception of the gaming environment. The core of this 180Hz gaming monitor is a VA panel with a 1500R curvature, which has a high contrast ratio of 3,000:1 for deep blacks and brighter whites. Frame rate synchronisation between the monitor and the graphics card is handled by AMD FreeSync technology. This prevents screen tearing and stuttering. For true-to-life colour reproduction, the monitor uses a 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC) and covers 105% of the sRGB and 90% of the Adobe RGB colour space. Visibility in dark scenes is enhanced by the AI Vision function, which, as an intelligent black tuner, brightens details in the shadows without overexposing the bright parts.
Ergonomics and Mounting
The included stand provides basic ergonomic adjustment. It allows the screen to be tilted from -5° forwards to +20° backwards, which helps to find a suitable viewing angle and reduce glare. For more advanced positioning, the monitor is equipped for VESA 100×100mm standard mounting. This opens up the possibility of mounting it on the wall, which frees up space on your desk, or using an adjustable arm for full flexibility in adjusting the height, rotation and distance of the screen from your eyes.
Eye Protection Features
For long gaming sessions, a set of technologies to reduce eye fatigue comes in handy. The monitor integrates a Flicker-Free function that eliminates the invisible backlight flicker that is a common cause of fatigue. Furthermore, there is a software-controlled blue light filter that limits emissions in the blue part of the light spectrum without significantly distorting colour reproduction.
