27" Philips 27M2N8500 Gaming
The Philips 27M2N8500 gaming monitor uses a 27" QD-OLED panel with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. It combines a detailed image with high speed thanks to a 360Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms (GtG) response time, which effectively suppresses motion blur. This OLED gaming monitor is therefore suitable for competitive gaming where instant response and image clarity are key. In addition, QD-OLED technology provides an exceptional contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and vivid colours, which you'll appreciate not only during fast-paced action but also when watching content with a high dynamic range.

Image quality and smoothness
This QD-OLED monitor uses a panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, which has a native contrast of 1,500,000:1 and 10-bit colour depth. As a result, it displays rich and accurate colours with 147.5% sRGB and 118% Adobe RGB coverage. The high refresh rate along with DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification delivers a smooth picture with deep blacks and crisp shadow detail. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible technologies take care of frame syncing to suppress screen tearing.
Monitor ergonomics
The monitor stand offers extensive customisation options to find the optimal position. You can adjust the height within a 130mm range. The screen can be tilted from -5° to +20° and also swivelled by 20°. For alternative mounting methods, such as on a wall or an adjustable arm, the monitor comes prepared for VESA standard mounting with a dimension of 100 × 100mm.
Gaming features
The monitor offers a number of additional features for gamers. SmartImage game modes adjust the picture settings for specific genres. The Smart Sniper and Smart Crosshair features help with more precise aiming, while Stark Shadow Boost brightens dark scenes for better visibility of enemies without overexposing bright areas. An impressive atmosphere is created by Ambiglow technology, which optically extends the image beyond the screen's edges by projecting light onto the wall. You can synchronise this feature with other peripherals using Windows Dynamic Lighting.
Connectivity options
The monitor offers a wide range of connectivity options and built-in speakers with 2 × 5W of power. The MultiView PiP and PbP mode displays content from two connected devices at once. The following ports are available:

Colour Gamut
Determines how accurately the monitor can display colours. sRGB is ideal for web, movies or games. DCI-P3/Adobe RGB is appreciated by graphic designers or professionals at work. The higher the stated value, the better the monitor displays colours. Maximum Brightness
The value, given in nits or cd/m², determines the brightness of the monitor. Brightness above 400 nits is key for HDR content and readability in sunlight, while standard office monitors are fine with values above 250. Refresh Rate and Response Time
The refresh rate (Hz) determines the number of frames displayed per second, so the higher the value, the smoother the picture and the less eye strain. A lower response time (ms) value eliminates motion blur. 144Hz+ is ideal for gaming, while values around 75Hz are suitable for office monitors.Specifications
