The ASUS ROG Strix XG248QSG gaming monitor is aimed at demanding competitive gaming. This esports monitor uses a special Super TN panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, which forms the basis for achieving an overclockable refresh rate of up to 610Hz. Such a high frequency provides a smooth image, which is key for fast reactions in esports titles. A low response time of 0.1ms (min.) and 0.7ms (GtG) together with ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur 2 technology suppresses motion blur and ghosting, resulting in a sharp image even in faster action scenes. This ASUS ROG monitor is thus a tool for gamers who demand uncompromising speed and image clarity.

The display is based on a flat 24.1" Super TN panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The matte surface effectively reduces unwanted glare. The panel achieves a typical brightness of 350cd/m² and a peak value of 400cd/m² in HDR mode, which, along with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, contributes to a clear image. Support for the HDR10 standard and VESA DisplayHDR 400 improves the dynamic range between the darker and lighter parts of the scene. The colour reproduction covers 125% of the sRGB space and 90% of DCI-P3 at 8-bit colour depth.

This esports monitor is built for speed. The overclockable refresh rate reaches up to 610Hz, a value designed for demanding gaming where every frame counts. This makes the image exceptionally smooth. It is complemented by a low response time of 0.1ms (min.) and 0.7ms (GtG). To eliminate motion blur, it uses ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur 2 (ELMB 2) technology, which can also be combined with adaptive sync thanks to the ELMB Sync feature. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support via AMD FreeSync Premium and compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync synchronises the frame rate with the graphics card to prevent screen tearing.

To optimise the gaming experience, the monitor offers a suite of software tools. Shadow Boost brightens dark areas in games without overexposing the bright parts, revealing hidden enemies. GamePlus adds on-screen gaming enhancements like a crosshair or timer. Game Visual modes offer preset profiles for different game genres. ROG Gaming AI technology uses artificial intelligence to dynamically adjust the image. All settings are synchronised via the DisplayWidget Center application.

The monitor stand offers extensive customisation options to find the optimal position. The height can be smoothly adjusted by 160mm, the screen can be tilted from +35° to -5°, and it can be swivelled within a range of ±45°. For alternative mounting, in addition to the standard 100×100mm VESA mount, there is also an integrated 1/4" tripod thread. The design is complemented by ASUS Aura Sync backlighting, which you can synchronise with other compatible components and peripherals. The monitor falls into energy class E in SDR mode with a typical consumption of 18W, while in standby mode the consumption drops below 0.5W.

The monitor offers a wide range of connectivity options. There is a DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and two HDMI 2.1 ports. For audio output, you can use the 3.5mm headphone jack.
