The EIZO EV2736WFS monitor from the EV (EcoView) energy-saving product line is equipped with a new, affordable IPS panel, which delivers high-quality image independently of viewing angle, and a sophisticated, semi-gloss anti-reflective mask for near to zero screen glare and reflections.
With its ulta-high resolution (2,560 × 1,440 = 3.7Mpx ), the 27" model offers almost double the detail compared to regular 24" monitors, making it perfect for office data processing, as a replacement of classic dual-monitor workstations or for CAD/CAM. The EV2736WFS's lasting image parameters stability is also a welcome characteristic at dispatching sites and surveillance oriented workplaces.
Its top-class automatic "hybrid" regulation of the LED backlight reduces EV2736WFS's power consumption and allows a stable and flicker-free brightness setting in the rage between 0.6cd/m2 to 300cd/m2 (0.2-100% maximum brightness value), which comes in handy especially in workplaces with little daylight or during night-time.
The monitor uses a unique, optimised control with nonlinear characteristic to auto adjust the brightness of the screen to the ambient light. Compared to the simpler, commonly used linear control, it responds to changes of lighting better, providing a brightness match closer to the human eye perception. The EV2736WFS uses two control curves - one for winter and one for summer.Another advantage of the EV2736WFS is the silent operation of its power supply, independent of the current brightness setting.
Each user can also set a "software image filter" according to their individual needs to minimise eye fatigue from long reading from a white background. To protect your eyes even more, use the "Paper Mode", during which the contrast ratio of the screen drops to 1:30, turning into the perfect imitation of other electronic reading devices.
The EV2736WFS is equipped with an energy saving sensor that continuously evaluates the user's presence, enabling the monitor to automatically turn on or off accordingly.
The unique technology of continuous histogram evaluation (brightness distribution) of the currently displayed scene also contributes to the 30% of saved energy.
Always ready
The EIZO EV2736WFS's color range is close to the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 standard, meaning that it displays sRGB colour range photographs correctly immediately after unboxing and without the need for prior calibration. The monitor displays sRGB images correctly even in viewer programs without CMS support, such as internet browsers or other applications that weren't originally intended primarily for color reproduction.
That's a good news especially for beginner users or amateurs who may not always be familiar enough with colour reproduction technology used in modern wide-screen monitors.
If you want an even more accurate colour reproduction of sRGB photographs, use the sRGB button. It automatically (and according to sRGB) sets the correct white point for your display and selects the right gradient curve (black point level).
It fits anywhere
The EIZO EV2736WFS is equipped with DP inputs (DisplayPort and DVI-D) for an easy connection to modern computers and its two built-in USB hubs enable a direct connection of some basic peripherals (memory stick, keyboard, mouse, ...).
The monitor supports both analog (3.5mm jack) and digital (DisplayPort) stereo sound channels.
Gamers and film enthusiasts are sure to appreciate the EV2736WFS's surprisingly fast response of only 6ms (G-G), which puts the advanced IPS LCDs to the same level as the previously so often preferred TN technology.
Outstanding ergonomics - new flexible stand
The EIZO EV2736WFS's new stand makes manipulation with the 27" screen ridiculously easy. It has adjustable height of between 20 to 165mm (a 145mm range!), 344° swiveling, up to 30° tilt and its panel can be rotated by 90° to the "vertical" position (the pivot function) for a more comfortable viewing of "long" web pages. The screen has a 20mm frame that helps to create its stylish look.
