40" Orava LT-1023

The Orava LT-1023 is a Smart TV with a 40" screen size and reliable features. The panel with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 and Direct LED backlighting technology displays a clear and detailed picture with uniform brightness across the entire surface. Support for the HDR10 high dynamic range standard expands the colour spectrum and increases contrast, resulting in a more realistic rendering of light and dark scenes. The proprietary operating system offers access to streaming apps like NETFLIX, YouTube or HBO Max. Thanks to the built-in WiFi and Chromecast and DLNA features, sharing content from mobile devices to the big screen is easy. A sound system with DTS HD support complements the picture with clear audio.

Picture parameters

The 102cm panel uses LED technology with Direct LED backlighting. This backlighting method contributes to a consistent level of brightness without areas that are lighter or darker. The Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 provides the necessary sharpness for watching films, series and regular broadcasts. The native refresh rate of the panel is 50/60Hz, the standard for smooth motion display. Also important is the support for the HDR10 format, which processes image data with a higher bit depth, resulting in the display of more colour shades and details in both dark and light parts of the scene.

Sound equipment

Sound reproduction is handled by a pair of integrated speakers with a total power of 16W (2×8W). This configuration will provide sound for small and medium-sized rooms. The TV supports the DTS HD audio format, which helps improve dialogue clarity and gives sound effects more space. A digital optical output is used to connect external audio systems, which transmits the audio signal in digital form without loss of quality to a soundbar or home cinema system. A headphone output is also included for private listening.

Smart features

The TV runs on its own operating system, which the manufacturer designed for simple operation and quick access to content. There are pre-installed apps for streaming services, including YouTube, NETFLIX, HBO Max and Skylink Live TV. Connection to the internet is via built-in WiFi or a stable wired connection using the LAN port. The equipment also includes Chromecast technology, which mirrors content from smartphones, tablets and computers. DLNA support provides access to multimedia files stored on your home network. There is also an HbbTV red button for accessing TV station archives.

Connectivity and recording options

For connecting external devices, the TV offers two HDMI 2.1 connectors, which support modern standards for video and audio transmission. You can connect game consoles, Blu-ray players or laptops to them. One USB port is not only for playing your own videos, music and photos from flash drives or external hard drives, but also supports the PVR TV recording function. Just connect a USB drive with sufficient capacity and you can record a show. For receiving pay TV, there is a CI+ slot where you can insert a decoding module with the operator's card.

Other functions and assembly

Useful features include a basic hotel mode, which restricts access to certain settings, which is useful for use in commercial spaces. The TV has DVB-T2 HEVC, DVB-C and DVB-S2 tuners for receiving terrestrial, cable and satellite broadcasts without the need for an external set-top box. Installation is easy – you can stand the TV on the legs that are included in the package, or you can mount it on the wall using a VESA bracket with a size of 100×100mm. In SDR mode, it falls into energy class E with a consumption of 37kWh/1000h, and in HDR mode into class G with a consumption of 75kWh/1000h.
