Audio Interface Akai EIE Pro is the perfect solution for connecting to any audio device. It is an ideally matched system for the professional assembly of portable studios. With four inputs and four outputs (4x4) it allows computers with Mac OS and Windows entry in the 16/24-bit resolution into virtually any DAW (home study system), storage or production software. EIE Pro offers in addition to its main USB port three USB inputs performing the function of a hub, allowing you to connect a controller, hard drive or other peripherals when you limit the number of ports on your computer. The compact recording interface contains high-quality components including nickel-plated input jacks and analog VU meters. Its rugged aluminium casing makes it a powerful, professional, portable audio solution.
The channel interface of the Akai EIE Pro is a 6.3 mm jack XLR combo, so you can connect a microphone or guitar line and use the switch to select the appropriate input type. EIE Pro offers four separate preamps with 48V phantom power for use with virtually any microphone. Separate 6.3 mm nickel plated connectors on the back side will provide input channels for processing external audio. The output can be directed to a greater number of studio monitors, thanks to four 6.3 mm symmetrical outputs, which are also nickel plated. The output level of both pairs can be visually monitored using high-quality analog VU meters. There is also a headphone output in the form of a 6.3 mm connector to which a signal can be routed from the first/second output pair, or the two can be merged together. High-quality A/D and D/A converters ensure that every detail of your recording or production will be captured and played back quite in perfect sound true to the original.
The EIE Pro sends and receives four audio channels over a single USB cable, so making the connection to the computer is very simple. Another three USB ports allow it to function as an EIE Pro USB hub as well as a bridging device between MIDI controllers and the computer. The USB interface is designed for use with Mac OS X and Windows XP, Vista and 7 without the need to install drivers. The EIE Pro has traditional V/V connectors MIDI for game and software control of the keyboard, pad drivers, music workstations, and other MIDI compatible devices.
