The headphones are semi-open and have 30mm XXL Varimotion transducers. The headphones deliver excellent audio performance with solid bass and crystal clear highs across the entire frequency range. The headphones reproduce music very accurately even with a weaker amplifier, as the AKG K240 STUDIO headphones boast high sensitivity and low impedance.
AKG K240 STUDIO Provide Maximum Comfort
The AKG K240 STUDIO headphones have a lightweight design that automatically adjusts to the size and shape of your head. The over-ear pads nicely envelop the ears instead of pressing on them, so they remain comfortable even during long recording sessions. The leatherette ear pads are interchangeable and you can always swap them for velvet pads for an even more comfortable fit. The AKG K240 STUDIO headphone cable is 3 metres long, connected via a mini XLR connector and can easily be swapped out for a 5 metre coiled cable when necessary.
Varimotion Patented Diaphragm
Behold the K-series and its unique Varimotion diaphragm technology. The diaphragm of the headphones is very important for the final audio quality. The proprietary AKG membrane has variable thickness in different places to maximise the effect. In the central part it's rigid and enables piston-like movement, while at the edge it is thinner and elastic, allowing it to transmit even the finest vibrations. Put together, the AKG K240 STUDIO headphones produce realistic sound with beautiful highs and bass.
