Comprehensive protection with AA certification
The RX-5 DRYSTARS jacket is CE certified to Class AA for protective motorcycle clothing. Joint protection is provided by internal CE-certified NUCLEON FLEX PRO protectors, which are made from a viscoelastic material. This adapts to the body, but hardens on impact to absorb energy. The shoulders are also fitted with external GP LITE protectors. For comprehensive back protection, the jacket is prepared for the insertion of NUCLEON back protectors. Safety can be further enhanced by using a compatible TECH-AIR®5 airbag vest.
Weather adaptation with a membrane and ventilation
The core of the jacket is a fixed Drystar® climate membrane, which is waterproof and breathable. It keeps you dry during a rain shower without causing excessive sweating. For riding on colder spring days, there is a removable thermal liner with a weight of 120g/m³ on the chest and 80g/m³ on the sleeves. In warmer weather, you can use the DVS (Direct Ventilation System). Vents with zips on the chest, sleeves, forearms and shoulder blade area allow for efficient airflow.
Ergonomics and customisation of the RX-5 jacket
For riding comfort, the jacket is equipped with stretch panels in the sleeve area that do not restrict movement. You can easily adjust the width of the waist, forearms and cuffs using the adjustment straps. The extended back section protects the lower back from wind, even in a more aggressive riding position. A raised comfort collar with a hook-and-loop fastening prevents neck chafing. The jacket can also be connected to motorcycle trousers using the waist zip.
