AMD has announced a new line of desktop processors at the CES 2018. It is a new Raven Ridge series, that combines four Zen generation CPU cores with the latest, most advanced ‘Vega’ graphics technology in a single chip. The AMD Ryzen 5 2400G processor will not only become a popular choice for less demanding multimedia homes, but also a perfect solution for a custom build PCs without a need for a standalone graphics card.

Raven Ridge APU

Same as the preceding Ryzen processor, the Ryzen 5 2400G is based on AMD's Zen microarchitecture and is fabricated on a 14nm process. The main advantage is a massive use of SMT technology, similar to MultiThreading technology, which ensures smooth processing of two threads per core.
