This is a large battery that provides power for all types of electronics. The APC Back-UPS BX 1200VA (IEC) UPS has the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is the simplest form in case of a outage, since it switches to the internal battery for electric power. The line interactive UPS also adds data line surge suppression to prevent damage from electrical surges from the grid.
