This is just another name for a large battery that powers all appliances needing electricity. The APC Back-UPS BX 950VA (IEC) UPS features the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is seen as the most basic form if the electricity is interrupted, since it switches to the internal battery for electric power. The line interactive UPS enhances the simpler off-line version of voltage regulation to prevent damage from dangerous surges and spikes.
