In principle, this hardware is just a premium battery backup that provides power for all devices that need electricity. The APC Smart-UPS T Lithium-Ion 1000VA 2U UPS has the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is the most basic form if the electricity is interrupted, since it switches power to the UPS unit itself. The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to guard against dangerous surges travelling along data lines.
