The ASRock X870 Nova motherboard with WiFi is built on the AMD X870 chipset and AM5 platform. It supports high-performance PC builds with AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. A stable power supply, even under heavy load, is handled by a powerful 18+2+1 phase power system with 80A SPS and extended cooling. The design uses an eight-layer, low-loss PCB, improving signal integrity and thermal stability. The integrated I/O shield simplifies installation into a computer case.
PCIe 5.0 and storage
The board supports future standards with its PCIe 5.0 interface for both the graphics card and storage. For RAM, it offers four DDR5 slots with dual-channel support, a total capacity of up to 256GB, and an overclocked frequency of up to 8400MHz. For fast data storage, two M.2 slots with a PCIe 5.0 interface are available, along with three more M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 interfaces. These are complemented by two traditional SATA III ports.
Ultra-fast connectivity with USB4 and Wi-Fi 7
For network connectivity, the board offers 5-Gigabit LAN and a Wi-Fi 7 module with Bluetooth 5.4. This combination provides a fast and stable connection for online gaming, high-resolution content streaming, and transferring large files. In terms of peripheral connectivity, the two rear USB4 Type-C ports with a 40Gb/s transfer speed stand out, also serving as display outputs. These are complemented by a front USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (20Gb/s) connector and a range of other USB ports. Gamers will appreciate the special ASRock Lightning Gaming ports for the mouse and keyboard, which reduce signal latency.
Advanced features and audio
Crystal-clear sound is provided by the Realtek ALC4082 codec with Nahimic Audio technology, which supports 7.1-channel HD Audio. The Nahimic software adds virtual surround sound and other enhancements for an immersive gaming experience. The board simplifies management and diagnostics with a BIOS Flashback button for firmware updates without a CPU and a Dr. Debug segment display for quick problem identification. There are also power and reset buttons directly on the board. Extensive cooling options include connectors for CPU fans, case fans, and water cooling pumps.
