AMIO Headlight Refurbishing Polishing Kit (pack for two headlights)
A kit designed to restore the original appearance of very darkened and yellowed headlights. 3 simple steps: grinding, polishing, protection. By using this kit, there is no need to replace the headlights with new ones. Easy to use. The set does not include an electric polisher. Designed to restore two headlights.
AMIO headlight restoration kit contains
- 2 x grinding wheel, P800
- 2x grinding wheel, P1200
- 2x grinding wheel, P2000
- 2x sponges (1x white, 1x orange)
- 1x 85 g polishing paste
- 2x 3 ml UV protection
- 1x masking tape (300*2 cm)
- 1x disc holder
- 1x adapter with M10 thread
Preparation
Clean the headlight with water. Cover the area around the headlight to avoid scratching nearby painted surfaces.
1.BRUSHING: Wet the grinding wheel and attach it to the holder. Grind with three different grits to completely remove severe yellowing, fogging and corrosion.
COMMENT: Use grinding wheels: P800, P1200, P2000 in that order.
2.POLISHING: Attach the wool polishing pad and apply the polishing paste. Polish the headlight until the original shine is restored.
COMMENT: For best results, use an electric polisher. If polishing by hand, make at least 200 circular movements in a clockwise direction.
3.PROTECTION: Before continuing with this operation, clean the reflector glass and make sure it is dry. Make sure the headlamp is not exposed to sunlight (VERY IMPORTANT).
Using the white sponge included in the kit, evenly apply a layer of the protective fluid to the surface of the headlight. Allow the protective liquid to dry for 15 minutes. Then let the liquid cure in direct sunlight for 1 to 2 hours.
4.STEP 3Leave the headlamp in a dry place and do not expose it to moisture. Do not wash the car for 24 hours.
COMMENT: Avoid sunlight when applying protective fluid to the headlights (VERY IMPORTANT).
