The COMPASS is a fully automated microprocessor charger for electrolyte-filled batteries (maintenance-free, AGM, gel, 12.8V LiFePO4 lithium batteries, and batteries used in vehicles with a Start-Stop system). These batteries are commonly found in cars, lorries, garden machinery, boats, lawnmowers, tractors, and other equipment. The charger can also be used to charge EFB batteries and traction batteries. It supports charging for lithium LiFePO4 batteries, which are known for their high reliability, safety, and excellent price-to-performance ratio. Today, they are primarily used as a backup power source for production plants, offices, IT infrastructure, or households, as batteries for photovoltaic power stations, on-board batteries on boats, houseboats, or caravans as a replacement for original lead-acid batteries. They are also used as energy storage for off-grid houses and in selected types of electric vehicles. The built-in electronics ensure safe charging, automatically switching the charger to an optimal maintenance pulse mode once the battery is fully charged, thereby extending the connected battery's lifespan. The charger can also be used as a basic tester to check the battery's charge status.
