Meguiar's PRO Hybrid Ceramic Sealant - liquid, professional, hybrid ceramic sealant, 473 ml

To protect your car's bodywork, Meguiar's PRO Hybrid Ceramic Sealant is the ideal product. In just a few seconds, its application creates a slick, water-repellent layer. This Meguiar's cleaner features hybrid SiO₂ technology for even greater effectiveness. The product does not whiten, even after drying, and is suitable for all types of surfaces, including wheels, plastics, rubber and lights. It provides perfect, long-lasting protection for paintwork, wheels, plastic and rubber trims, polished metals, lights and other surfaces. It offers effective protection against UV radiation, acid rain, road grime and other contaminants, oxidation, and other harmful elements that can damage your car's paint.

Washing a car with hybrid ceramic wax:
The best way to wash a car protected with hybrid ceramic wax is to use a ceramic car shampoo. In addition to all its benefits, such as a neutral pH, extreme thickness, high foaming, perfect lubrication, and uncompromising cleaning power, a ceramic car shampoo also contains SiO₂ additives—silicon dioxide, or 'ceramic' if you prefer. These effectively and actively reinforce the protection, improve the hydrophobic properties of all exterior surfaces, and extend its durability. Even on a car that has no protection yet, the Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax shampoo alone leaves a basic protective layer that can shield the car for a limited time.

When washing with a shampoo containing wax, you may temporarily cover the hybrid ceramic wax on your car with the wax from the shampoo. These additives have lower hydrophobicity, so covering the hybrid ceramic wax with them can lead to a temporary reduction in water repellency. Over time, as the wax additives from the shampoo wear off, the more hydrophobic hybrid ceramic wax is revealed again, and the effect is maximised. This phenomenon does not diminish the quality or properties of the hybrid ceramic protection in any way.

If you want to avoid this temporary reduction in hydrophobicity caused by covering the hybrid ceramic wax with regular waxes, and you are not using a ceramic shampoo, it is recommended to use a car shampoo without wax additives for washing, such as our Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner or the professional Shampoo Plus. These shampoos do not contain additives that would temporarily mask the hybrid ceramic wax, thus keeping its hydrophobicity permanently at a maximum level.

Application procedure – by hand:
Work on bodywork that is in the shade and cool to the touch. Shake well. Apply a small, coin-sized amount of the product to a foam applicator and work it in completely to moisten the surface. Then, add a cherry-stone-sized drop and apply to the surface. Work in circular motions, allowing the applicator to glide over the surface without any pressure.

Apply a very thin, matt film that is visible against the light. Add more hybrid ceramic sealant, 1–2 cherry-stone-sized drops at a time, only when needed, if the applicator is no longer applying a sufficiently thin layer of sealant as it did at the beginning. A thicker layer of hybrid ceramic sealant does not increase protection. Using too much sealant will make it harder to wipe off and you will use up the product faster.

Allow the sealant to dry on the surface for at least 2–5 minutes (depending on the ambient conditions you are working in – temperature, air humidity). After it has dried, gently wipe the sealant off with a microfibre towel like the X1906 Meguiar’s Supreme Finishing Towel, X2010 Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel, or E101 Meguiar’s Ultimate Microfiber Towel. The protection will fully cure after 24 hours. During this time, it is recommended not to expose the treated surfaces to water (e.g., washing or rain).
Note: If light streaks or hazing appear immediately after application, do not worry. Allow the product to bond to the paintwork or previous protection layers and enhance the gloss and protection for approximately 15 minutes.

Application procedure – by machine:
Work on bodywork that is in the shade and cool to the touch. Shake well. Use a black foam pad (G3509 for the DA Power System or DFF5 or DFF6 for a DA polisher). Apply 3–4 cherry-stone-sized drops to the pad and work them in completely to moisten its surface. Then, add one cherry-stone-sized drop and apply the hybrid ceramic sealant to the surface.

Work at a low speed (max. 1200 RPM on a drill, set the DA polisher to 3800 OPM). With no pressure, cover the entire bodywork with a thin, matt film of sealant. Add more sealant, 1–2 cherry-stone-sized drops at a time, only when needed, if the pad is no longer applying a sufficiently thin layer of sealant as it did at the beginning. A thicker layer of hybrid ceramic sealant does not increase protection. Using too much sealant will make it harder to wipe off and you will use up the product faster.
