THULE 598 ProRide - the ingenious holder
The Thule ProRide 598 roof bike carrier is the top of the range thanks to its features and parameters. Its great advantage is the very easy semi-automatic assembly of the bicycles. Just put the bike on the rack and thanks to the unique frame holder and trough, the bike will automatically settle into place. The bike is thus firmly attached and ready to go. The assembly is simple and safe, the bike is protected from falling even during heavy transport by the extended lower jaw of the grip. Thanks to the large and soft clamp pad, you don't have to worry about damaging your bike.
Bike carrier with anti-theft security
You can easily lock your bike into the THULE ProRide 598, the lock for securing the bike is located on the arm next to the handlebar. It is also possible to lock the roof rack to the transom,thus minimising the potential risk of theft.
You can do without tools
The self-adjusting frame holder allows you to load and remove the bike quickly and easily. A torque limiter is also included to control the force exerted throughout assembly. Another great feature is the easy swapping of the carrier from one side of the vehicle to the other without the use of any tools.

Differences between THULE ProRide 598 and 591
The THULE ProRide 598 is the successor to the very popular ProRide 591. At first glance, you will hardly notice the difference between them. The new model is a little different from its predecessor and brings a better user experience thanks to innovations. Safety is very important in a roof rack, and the ProRide 598 takes it up several levels. In addition to the use of better materials, it has a softer lining and especially new jaws, which are much better technically designed and completely encircle the bicycle frame, preventing it from falling out or reducing the risk of the bike being stolen.
Attachment of rims
Another difference is the mounting of the wheel rims on the rail. Compared to the 591, the newer 598 has a more comfortable system, where the rim is clamped to the rail with a belt and tightened comfortably with a ratchet. The result is much better rim stability in the rail than the older model.
THULE ProRide 598 is easy to work with
The last difference is the jaw tightening wheel. On the THULE ProRide 598, this wheel has been completely redesigned, making it more user-friendly and comfortable. Moreover, it can only be tightened up to a certain point and cannot be tightened any further. Everyone will immediately know how to tighten the jaws and there is no risk of undertightening and possible frame falling out of the carrier or the opposite problem with too much tightening and subsequent possible frame damage, which will be especially appreciated by owners of carbon wheels.
