Laptop batteries with premium cells
AVACOM now offers laptop batteries assembled from high-capacity cells from brands like PANASONIC, LG, and SONY. At the same size and weight, these batteries provide up to 32% more capacity than the originals. For example, we now offer a six-cell battery, which originally had a capacity of 4400mAh, with these new cells providing a capacity of 5800mAh. The cells used in these batteries also have a longer lifespan than most cell types used by renowned laptop manufacturers.
Batteries made from quality components
The batteries feature sophisticated electronics with a double protection system. This part manages the charging of individual cell branches and also protects them from overcharging and undercharging. With batteries containing high-capacity cells, you will noticeably increase your laptop's battery runtime, so you won't need to carry a power adapter, even for longer meetings.
How to keep your battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged from the factory, but its capacity and performance are not at 100%. Therefore, to optimally format the battery, we recommend repeating a full charge and discharge cycle at least 3× from the very beginning. The battery's capacity is reduced by being constantly connected to a power source, so we recommend occasionally unplugging the device. If you are not using the battery, store it charged in a dry place and check and recharge it approximately every six months.
What damages batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is leaving it completely discharged and unused for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, only charge it once it has reached room temperature. Use the battery only in devices for which it is intended. Also, be careful not to expose the battery to short circuits or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemicals, and moisture.
