Expansion batteries for laptops
Do you need to be independent of power supply for a longer time than your standard battery can offer?
The AVACOM company produces many different expandable batteries for various laptop models, with a higher number of cells than the original batteries. The battery is physically larger, and either extends a bit beyond the laptop body or lifts the back side of the laptop, creating an ergonomically more convenient keyboard incline.
Batteries made of high quality components
The battery contains a sophisticated electronical component with double protection. This section controls the charging of individual cell strings and also protects them from overcharging and over-depletion. With more battery cells, the laptop's battery life will noticeably increase, so you do not have to travel with a power adapter even for longer meetings.
How to keep the battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to repeat the charge and discharge cycle at least 3 times at the beginning. Permanent connection to the power supply reduces the capacity of the battery, so we recommend that you disconnect the device from the power socket from time to time. If the battery is not in use, store it in a dry place and test it after approximately six months.
What causes damage to the batteries
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you deplete it completely and do not use it for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C. If the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only at room temperature. Only use the battery in the devices for which it is intended. Also be careful that the battery is not subject to a short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect it from mechanical damage, chemical agents and moisture.
