AXAGON ADR-205

The AXAGON ADR-205 active extension USB 2.0 cable has a length of 5m. The active part of the cable - the USB repeater amplifies a passing USB signal and allows to connect USB devices that are farther than 5m, which is the usual distance allowed by passive cables. With this device, you can connect several repeater cables in a row.

One of the cable's great advantages is that it is equipped with an integrated additional power supply connector. In most cases, supplying power via a USB bus is sufficient, but some more demanding devices may need an additional power supply.

The remarkably compact body of the AXAGON repeater ensures that you can hide it in cable management systems and organisers. In addition, it features a high-quality shielded cable that ensures high communication speeds and minimal interference.

Power supply:
Powered via a USB bus (bus-power mode: 5V - 500mA).
For most connected USB devices, the USB bus power supply is sufficient and no additional power is needed.
The active part of the cable contains a connector (O 3.5x1.3mm - external x internal diameter) for an additional external power supply of 5V/1-2A.
Power adapter not included - AXAGON AC-5V2A recommended power adapter.
When powering the repeater cable with the power adapter, you can also connect an external 2.5" drive without the need for a separate power supply for the drive.
When you have multiple repeater cables connected in series, the USB bus supply may be inadequate and can be boosted by the additional power supply.
