An active USB 2.0 extension cable, the AXAGON ADR-210 is 10 metres long. This USB repeater cable amplifies the USB signal, allowing you to connect USB devices that are much further away than the usual 5 metres possible with passive cables. You can even connect several repeater cables in a series. A major advantage of the ADR-210 extension is its integrated connector for auxiliary power. In most cases, power from the USB bus is sufficient, but for devices with higher power consumption, the USB power supply can be inadequate over longer distances. The auxiliary mains power can solve this problem. The exceptionally compact body of the AXAGON repeater allows for hassle-free use in electrical trunking or cable management systems. The use of a high-quality shielded cable guarantees high-speed communication and minimal unwanted interference.

Power supply:
- The cable and connected devices are powered via the USB bus (bus-power mode 5V - 500mA).
- For most connected USB devices, the USB bus power is sufficient and no additional power is needed.
- The active part of the cable includes a connector (Ø 3.5 x 1.3mm outer x inner diameter) for additional external power of 5V/1-2A.
- A 1.2m long USB A-M / 3.5mm jack power cable is included in the package. The cable allows for powering from a standard mobile phone charger with a USB-A output of 5V / min. 1A, e.g., the AXAGON ACU-DS16.
- When the repeater cable is powered by a power adapter, an external 2.5" drive can be connected without needing its own power supply.
- For longer USB runs with several repeater cables connected in series, the USB bus power may be insufficient even for USB devices with lower power consumption than an external 2.5" drive. In this case, boosting the power supply by connecting a power adapter can also help.
