The compact desktop Smart card / ID card reader AXAGON CRE-SM3SD FlatReader with USB 2.0 interface includes extra slots for SD, microSD and SIM cards. Card reader supports all common formats of contact Smart Cards, smart cards and other cards including contact bank payment cards or contact electronicID cards *. The reader is fully compatible with eObčanka (CZ) or eID client (SK). With a SIM card slot including SIM management software, SD and microSD card slots, the reader can also be used for backup and data transfer.
Compatibility with all common OSes such as Windows, Linux, Mac OS and Android allows a wide range of use on computers and laptops as well as on phones and tablets. The smart LED indication lights up only for a short while after an activity change, then goes out and does not disturb the user with unnecessary light. The compact design, quality construction, non-slip backing and sufficiently long cable ensure easy and trouble-free use.

Input:

  • USB 2.0 CCID protocol.
  • Backwards compatible with USB 1.1.
  • Connection to a computer via USB 2.0 type A male connector.
  • To connect to a phone or tablet with a USB-C connector, we recommend USB-C -> USB-A reducer e.g. AXAGON RUCM-AFA. For connection to a phone with a micro USB connector, we recommend the OTG micro USB -> USB-A.

Card reader:

  • Four-slot reader with support for the following formats:
  • Slot Smart Card supports ATM/CAC/ID/IC/SIS contact cards,
  • Micro SD slot supports microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC / TransFlash cards,
  • The SD slot supports SecureDigital cards, SDHC, SDXC, MultiMedia Card, MMC 4.0, MMC Dual Voltage, MMC mobile, RS-MMC, with a miniSD adapter, miniSDHC, MMC Micro,
  • The SIM slot supports standard size SIM cards (microSIM and nanoSIM with the appropriate adapter).

Support for Smart Card specifications:

  • Support for ISO 7816 compliant contact Smart Cards, Class A, B and C (5V, 3V and 1.8V).
  • Support for ISO 7816, EMV 4.1 (EMV 2000 level 1).
  • Supported protocols T=0 and T=1, I2C, SLE 4432/42 (S=10), SLE 4418/28 (S=9).
  • Support PC Smart Card standard PC/SC 2.0.
  • Microsoft Smart Card for Windows support.
  • Support for I2C cards SLE4418, SLE4428, SLE4432, SLE4442, SLE4436, SLE5536, SLE6636, AT88SC1608, AT45D041.
  • Compliant with Microsoft WHQL USB Smart Card Reader.
  • It complies with the requirements of FIPS 201.

Support for flash card specifications:

  • Compliant with SD 1.0/1.1 (SD - Secure Digital, up to 2GB).
  • Compliant with SD 2.0 standard (SDHC - Secure Digital High Capacity, up to 32GB).
  • Compliant with SD 3.0 standard (SDXC - Secure Digital eXtended Capacity, up to 2TB).
  • Compliant with MMC and eMMC 3. x/4.0/4.1/4.2 standard.

  • MS Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 / 11 and later, Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 and later (all 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows OS supported), Mac OS X 10.x and higher, Linux with kernel 2.4. x and higher, Android 8 and higher.

    * Note: The reader only supports contact cards that have visible contacts on the surface. A card without contacts is therefore RFID and cannot be used in the reader.
