The AXAGON PCEU-232RS controller adds four ports with data transfer speeds of up to 5Gb/s to your desktop computer. The card is installed in an internal PCI-Express slot and expands connectivity with two external USB Type-A ports and one internal 19-pin connector. The latter is used to run two more ports to the front panel of the computer case, for example. This gives you a total of four fast 5Gbps USB ports for connecting external drives, flash drives, printers or other peripherals. The card is backward compatible with the older USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 standards.

Proven Renesas controller chipset
The card is based on the Renesas µPD720201 chipset, which ensures seamless compatibility with Windows and Linux operating systems. In Windows 8 and newer versions, you don't need to install any external drivers because they are already part of the system. The card also supports the UASP protocol for faster data transfers when used with modern SSDs. Full Plug and Play and Hot Plug support simplifies handling of connected devices.
AXAGON PCEU-232RS controller power
The card receives power directly from the computer's power supply via a standard 15-pin SATA connector. This solution delivers a stable current to all connected devices, which is critical for peripherals with higher power demands. Because the power supply bypasses the limitations of the PCIe slot, it prevents instability or accidental disconnection of external drives, docking stations, or USB hubs under full load.
Flexible installation
The controller is installed in a PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slot, and it is also fully compatible with longer x4, x8 and x16 slots. In addition to the standard bracket, a low-profile bracket is also included. This is suitable for mounting in low-profile cases, extending the card's usability to a wide range of computer builds, from classic towers to compact SFF systems.
