Powerful laser source and economical operation
The laser light source is the foundation of its reliable operation, with a lifespan of 20000 hours in Normal, ECO and SmartEco modes, eliminating the need for lamp replacement. The projector actively manages its energy consumption. The SmartEco function dynamically adjusts the light source's output according to the projected content, reducing consumption by up to 70%. The Eco Blank function serves for further savings, temporarily turning off the image, and the auto power-off activates after a defined period of inactivity. The operating noise from the cooling system reaches 34dB in Normal mode and drops to 28dB in ECO mode. Typical power consumption is 200W, and in standby mode, it does not exceed 0.5W.
Image quality and colour reproduction
The BenQ LH650 projector uses DLP technology to project an image in a native 1920×1080 Full HD resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Its high brightness of 4000 ANSI lumens (3200 ISO lm in ECO mode) keeps the image readable even in meeting rooms that aren't blacked out. The dynamic contrast ratio of 3000000:1 supports detailed rendering in the dark parts of a scene. Covering 92% of the Rec.709 colour space ensures accurate and consistent colour reproduction. For different types of content, the projector offers specific picture modes like Presentation, Infographic, or Spreadsheet. The device also supports 3D content display.
Flexible installation and short throw projection
Thanks to its short throw distance, the projector creates a large image even when placed close to the projection surface. It projects an image from 762mm to 2540mm (30" to 100") screen sizely from a distance of 1m to 2.5m. This solution reduces shadows and presenter glare. Automatic 2D keystone correction simplifies image geometry adjustment within a range of ±30° both vertically and horizontally. A 1.3× optical zoom is used for final image size adjustments without needing to move the projector. The device can be mounted on the ceiling or placed freestanding. Its IP5X-certified design protects the optical unit against dust ingress.
Connectivity of the BenQ LH650 projector
To connect signal sources, the BenQ LH650 projector includes two HDMI 2.0b ports and a modern USB-C connector. This supports video transfer (Display Port Alt Mode) while simultaneously supplying power to the connected device. Three USB-A ports are also available, two of which are for connecting accessories and the third is for an optional Wi-Fi module. With this module, you can conduct wireless presentations from laptops or mobile devices. An RS232 port is provided for integration into control systems.
