Digitální zrcadlovka určená méně náročným, začátečníkům a také pro cestovatele, pro svoji nízkou hmotnost, rozměry a rychlé, intuitivní ovládání s velmi dobrou ergonomií. Použitý snímací čip formátu APS-C je velmi kvalitní, a navíc s integrovaným automatickým čištěním. Fotoaparát je v živém náhledu vybaven kvalitním automatickým zaostřováním Canon Dual Pixel AF a také s možností natáčet Full-HD video. Nechybí ani dotykový, otočný a vyklápěcí LCD displej na praktickém kloubu a k dispozici je i plná konektivita s chytrými telefony. Tento „základní set“ je krom objektivu doplněn o praktickou brašnu, odpovídající paměťovou kartu a utěrku optiky.
Nedostatků není mnoho, a navíc se týkají jen určité části fotografů, jmenoval bych snad jen absenci 4K videa, starší AF (v hledáčku) a také menší hledáček jako takový. Pro někoho také možná menší vyrovnávací paměť a nižší kapacita baterie (při fotografování přes živý náhled). Tlak na cenu je u tohoto setu znát starším objektivem bez optické stabilizace a STM ostření (spíše bych doporučil si připlatit na lepší).
