Digitální zrcadlovka určená méně náročným, začátečníkům anebo také pro cestovatele, pro svoji nízkou hmotnost, rozměry a rychlé, intuitivní ovládání s velmi dobrou ergonomií. Použitý snímací čip formátu APS-C je velmi kvalitní, a navíc s integrovaným automatickým čištěním. Fotoaparát je v živém náhledu vybaven kvalitním automatickým zaostřováním Canon Dual Pixel AF a také s možností natáčet Full-HD video. Nechybí ani dotykový, otočný a vyklápěcí LCD displej na praktickém kloubu a k dispozici je i plná konektivita s chytrými telefony. V této sadě navíc s objektivem s nejnovějším ostřícím motorkem STM a výkonnou optickou stabilizací.
Nedostatků není mnoho, a navíc se týkají jen určité části fotografů, jmenoval bych snad jen absenci 4K videa, starší AF (v hledáčku) a také menší hledáček jako takový. Pro někoho také možná menší vyrovnávací paměť a nižší kapacita baterie (při fotografování přes živý náhled).
