Jedna z vůbec nejlevnějších klasických digitálních zrcadlovek na současném trhu, přesto se jedná o nový přístroj se slušným výkonem a plnou kompatibilitou s celým rozsáhlým systémem Canon EOS. Koncepce fotoaparátu je stavěna tak, aby ovládání bylo maximálně jednoduché a intuitivní, tedy aby i se zrcadlovkou dokázal zacházet i úplný laik. Tomu odpovídá minimum tlačítek na fotoaparátu a snadné ovládání přes menu, přesto nechybí ani některé pokročilejší funkce, včetně plně manuálního režimu, kde máte přístroj plně pod kontrolou. Nechybí ani bezdrátová konektivita či Full-HD video a ocenit je třeba i na zrcadlovku mimořádně malé rozměry a nízkou hmotnost, což však nebrání výborné ergonomii.

Tlak na nízkou cenu je však znát, fotoaparát je kompletně plastový, a to včetně bajonetu těla i objektivu. Použité technologie čipu a třeba i autofokusu nejsou nejnovější, chybí čištění čipu, vyklápěcí LCD a další drobnosti. V této sadě navíc kvůli tlaku na cenu je základní objektiv staršího typu a bez optické stabilizace (doporučuji doplatit si na verzi se stabilizací).

Mám dotaz ohledně stabilizace obrazu, vadí hodně když je tento fotoaparát bez stabilizace, neboť třeba levnější kompakty stabilizaci mají, kdežto tato zrcadlovka ne. Pak bych se chtel zeptat zda se vyplatí si tady u něj připlatit oproti Canonu PowerShot SX 540 HC?
