Iconic Paul Smith design
The 849 pen is known for its characteristic shape. The hexagonal aluminium body is not only comfortable to hold, but is also a hallmark of the Caran d'Ache brand. This fifth edition was created in collaboration with British designer Paul Smith, who lent his iconic stripes to the pen. The colour combination is complemented by a silver background. The design is also reflected in the metal case, which is included in the package and bears the same striped motif.
Smooth writing and a reliable refill
Inside the pen is a black, oil-based ink refill that provides a smooth and consistent writing flow. The 0.7mm line width is suitable for everyday notes as well as longer texts. The push-button mechanism serves to retract the tip quickly and quietly, so the pen is always ready to use. Once the ink runs out, the refill can be easily replaced, allowing you to use the writing instrument for a long time.
