The tent is secure and easy to pack away thanks to the classic two-piece construction. The tent poles supplied with the tent set are made of quality fibreglass material (GRP) giving excellent resilience to windy weather. A pair of ventilation holes in the bedroom dome serve as a good source of ventilation. The tent will therefore limit overheating as it is well ventilated, providing plenty of fresh air. The small porch area located in front of the bedroom entrance provides protection for baggage from the elements.

The Coleman Darwin 3 person tent is a dependable tent that occupies very little space and can be easily and quickly assembled. The tent consists of 2 layers, the outer layer is made of a polyester and polyurethane coated material with taped seams. The water resistance grading is 3000mm and is sufficient for most conditions. The inner lining is made of a breathable polyester material in combination with a soft mesh and a waterproof flooring made of polyethylene. The whole tent owes its compact shape to 2 crossed rods made of high-quality Fibreglass, which can be securely anchored on the floor with spikes. All of the tent material is protected against all types of ultraviolet rays. This results, in extending the life of the tent by preventing material degradation due to the effects of UV radiation. Fire resistance guarantees ultimate safety, from any potential fire related accidents, as the tent does not ignite when touched by a naked flame, the affected area only burns.
