If you don't have the option to vent steam outside, you'll appreciate the practical recirculation function. With recirculation, in addition to the two grease filters, a carbon filter is also added, which perfectly absorbs odours (must be purchased separately). How to choose the right cooker hood for your home
Choosing the right extractor for your home is very important. The extractor's performance should be 7–10 times the volume of the room from which it is to extract fumes. If you have an open-plan kitchen and living room, you need to include both rooms in the calculation. The placement of the cooker hood above the electric or gas hob is also important, of course. The extractor needs to be placed 65cm above an electric hob and 70cm above a gas hob. We must also not forget the backdraught shutter, which prevents cold air from entering from the outside. The shutter also prevents warm air from escaping the room.
