The Corsair Carbide 500R is designed for all users for whom the 400 model is too basic. It offers an extra 200 mm fan on the side panel for perfect cooling of the most powerful graphics cards, a multi-channel fan speed controller on the front panel, and a removable and customisable hard drive cage. The removable cage not only improves airflow, but also allows you to install up to 452 mm long graphics cards.
The Carbide 500R includes eight expansion slots and supports up to 240 mm water cooling radiators, making it fully compatible with the latest Corsair Hydro Series H100 cooling module. If you prefer air cooling, the case provides fan positions with three of them already mounted, so you can start using the case right out of the box.
The case is perfectly compatible with most modern PC components. It includes two USB 3.0 ports on the front panel that connect directly to the slots on the motherboard, and the removable drive cage supports six 2.5" SSDs bays. Finally, working with the case is mostly tool-less, so you don’t need a screwdriver to remove the side panel or install most components.
The beautiful black interior looks really impressive and features removable dust filters to keep the components running safely as long as possible. The power supply position is located at the bottom, allowing for more efficient airflow. The side panel behind the motherboard is curved, giving you more space for cable management.
