The worst thing that can happen to you when you work on a computer is a power outage minutes before you wanted to save your work. Almost all your work has vanished, and you have to start again from nothing. Such uncomfortable (to put it mildly) situations can be forestalled by the CyberPower BR700ELCD backup power supply. In principle, this hardware is just a battery reservoir that powers all types of electronics. The CyberPower BR700ELCD UPS has the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is classified as the most basic form if the electricity is interrupted because it switches power to the UPS unit itself. The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to guard against dangerous surges and spikes.

The most important attribute is the battery run time. This is governed by the power consumption of the connected devices – for example, at half-load (50%), the battery backup time can last up to three times as long. The load of the backup source governs the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 1,5 min and at a load of 50%, it's 6 min. It is therefore necessary to determine the energy consumption of the connected electronics and it is best to have some spare energy in reserve. The CyberPower BR700ELCD specifies the apparent power as 700, but with realistic use, the actual usage matches the value of 420 W.
