The DES-1008D 8-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Desktop Switch is an 8-port 10/100 mb/sec Fast Ethernet switch that allows you to quickly set up a wired network. The device is designed for home or office use. It has a 128KB cache. The switch comes with 8 10/100mb/sec ports, allowing a small workgroup to flexibly connect to Ethernet and Fast Ethernet and integrate. These intelligent ports detect the network speed and auto-negotiate between 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T, as well as between full- and half-duplex. It includes a simplified set of LEDs to give information on the activity of individual ports. Ultimate 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX flexibility is achieved through a series of NWay ports, and in full duplex mode, any workstation in your network can receive 20mb/sec or 200mb/sec of data from any port.

 


There is no fan in the device, so the switch is suitable for deployment directly at the workstation or as a cable rack. Power is provided with an external adapter.
