The DGS-1100 series supports the Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) for real-time video streaming without compromising the transmission of common network data. Auto Voice VLAN is best suited for VoIP. Automatically assigns a higher priority VLAN voice call so the switch guarantees the reliability and security of VoIP traffic. You can use the settings to reserve the bandwidth for each important port that requires preference.

Secure operation

The switch features advanced security features such as Static MAC, Storm Control and IGMP Snooping. Static MAC allows users to create access-specific MAC lists for specific ports, helping administrators to restrict network access to authorised devices only. Storm Control monitors the broadcast and, during the event of packets that may flood the network, will block and drop them. IGMP Snooping is able to reduce the load on L3 routers and protect bandwidth and network throughput.

Secure connection

The switchgear arsenal also features Loopback Detection and Cable Diagnostics, which make it easy for network administrators to find and resolve your network illnesses. Loopback Detection is used to detect loops created by a particular port and automatically disconnects the affected port. The cable diagnostics function immediately tests the quality of the copper cables, detects their cable type and damage. Unused bundles are disconnected to standby, and therefore saving a large amount of electrical power.
