A network switch is an active network element connecting individual devices or other network elements. It is designed for coordinating network traffic. The D-LINK DGS-1250-52X is supposed to be mounted in a rack. This model has a switching capacity of 176 Gb/s. The Switch is equipped with 48 × RJ-45 ports that provide connection with network elements. 4 SFP connectors are there to transport data via optical fibers. 10/100Base-T technology enables data transfer with a speed of up to 100 Mbit/s. 10/100/1000Base-T technology enables data transfer with a speed of up to 1000 Mbit/s. It uses Dual Personality ports, notable for including both the RJ-45 and SFP connector ; however, only one can be in use at a time. The switch dimensions are 440 × 210 × 44mm. QoS or Quality of Service technology guarantees the switch stays within its capacity, and it also enables you to set up end station priority. Integrated LAN ports support a bandwidth speed of up to 1 Gbit. The weight of the switch is 3010g.
