The DXS-1100 is a switch with advanced features, management, and speeds of up to 10 Gbps that you can use with the classic RJ-45 interface or SFP + ports to add an optical transmission module or direct lead.
The DXS-1100 Switch provides cost-effective SMB solutions that need to use 10gigabit Ethernet. Due to its performance and features, it perfectly serves as a device for network aggregation, server farm, or dedicated 10gigabit desktop applications.
It includes 8 10GBASE-T copper ports that use the RJ-45 interface and support 10Gbps through CAT6a or CAT7 cables within 100m. These ports are backward compatible with 1000BASE-T, so all gigabit devices can be connected. The switch also includes two 10GbE SFP+ ports (SFP backward compatible) for direct attach copper connection (DAC) to other segments or SFP+ optical modules.
Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) and Voice VLAN ensure perfect video transfer from IP cameras as well as VoIP (Voice over IP) calls. Auto Surveillance VLAN automatically places video transmission from IP cameras to the assigned VLAN to ensure stability. Higher priority of individual VLANs ensures unmatched stability of transmission and security of monitoring against disruption. Auto Voice VLAN improves the functionality of the VoIP by automatically transferring communications from the IP phone to the assigned VLAN. In addition, you can reserve port-based bandwidth for important services.
The DXS-1100 supports an intuitive D-Link Network Assistant Utility and a web-based management interface. This utility displays all D-Link Smart switches within the same L2 network segment and gives you immediate access to them. You do not even need to change your computer's IP address, which speeds up and simplifies initial setup. From a single point you can easily configure all switches, change passwords and upgrade firmware. The graphical management web interface provides a user-friendly environment where network administrators can remotely control their network to the port level.
Static MAC allows you to create a list of enabled MACs for specific ports, which helps administrators restrict access for authorized devices only. The Storm Control service tracks the known and unknown transmissions and blocks or disables packets that could flood the network when the threshold is exceeded. IGMP Snooping is able to reduce the load on L3 routers to save network bandwidth.
