Brilliant 4K picture with 3LCD technology
The projector uses 3LCD imaging technology with an RGB liquid crystal shutter to display in native 3840 × 2160 4K UHD resolution. The system produces an equally high colour and white light output, resulting in up to three times brighter colours compared to single-chip DLP projectors. Brightness in normal mode reaches 4000 ANSI lumens, dropping to 2000 ANSI lumens in ECO mode. A high contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1 renders clear details in both dark and bright scenes. The image size is adjustable from 80" to 150". For precise alignment, it uses manual focus and the Quick Corner function for keystone correction.
Ultra-short-throw projection and gaming mode
With an ultra-short-throw ratio of 0.16–0.40:1, the Epson EH-LS800B projector casts a 90" image from a distance of just 0.3 metres from the wall. Placing it on a TV stand close to the wall completely eliminates distracting shadows on the picture and glare for people moving around the room. For gamers, there is a dedicated gaming mode that reduces input lag to under 20ms for a smooth gaming response. The image can be further customised using the digital zoom with a factor of 1 to 2.5 for precise filling of the projection screen.
Integrated Android TV and sound by YAMAHA
The integrated Android TV operating system provides access to thousands of apps and streaming services from the Google Play Store, including Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. The projector thus functions as a standalone media centre without the need to connect external devices. The sound is handled by 20W speakers designed by YAMAHA, which produce dynamic and spatial 3D sound. The projector can also be used as a standalone Bluetooth speaker for playing music from mobile devices, even with the picture turned off.
Projector connectivity
For connecting external sources, there are three HDMI ports with HDCP 2.3 support, one of which supports the ARC function for easy connection to a soundbar. Also available are three USB 2.0-A ports, wireless Wi-Fi LAN (802.11ac) and Bluetooth connection, and a stereo mini-jack output for an external audio system. The laser light source offers a lifespan of 20,000 hours in all operating modes, which means long-term operation without the need to replace the lamp during normal viewing. The fan noise in normal mode is 32dB(A), dropping to a quiet 19dB(A) in ECO mode, so it does not disturb you while watching.
