This powerhouse chip delivers extreme processing capabilities while maintaining energy efficiency to extend battery life and ensures smooth gameplay even with the most demanding titles. Compared to the previous-generation Ryzen Z1 Extreme, it offers up to 20% higher FPS in games and 15% greater computational performance, resulting in faster loading times, smoother animations, and enhanced gaming stability. With 8 high-performance cores, 16 threads, 16 GPU cores, and clock speeds up to 5GHz,this processor brings true desktop-level power to a handheld form factor.
All-day gaming endurance
The MSI Claw A8 redefines handheld gaming stamina with its premium 80Wh battery, one of the largest capacities in its class. This robust power solution combines energy efficiency with high performance, enabling extended gaming sessions. In Endurance Mode, the device can play Full HD videos for over 19 hours, while demanding AAA titles deliver up to 3.5 hours of gameplay. The console supports versatile connectivity options, including PD fast charging from 15W to 65W.
Hall effect analog sticks and triggers – precision built to last
The MSI Claw features Hall Effect technology in its analog sticks and triggers, guaranteeing exceptional accuracy and long-term durability. Unlike traditional mechanical solutions, Hall Effect sensors use magnetic fields to detect position, significantly reducing wear and eliminating problematic stick drift that can compromise control. This ensures consistent, reliable performance through hundreds of gaming hours without requiring repairs or replacements.
Cooler Boost HyperFlow – Revolutionary internal cooling
The MSI Claw features an advanced Cooler Boost HyperFlow thermal system that reimagines airflow management in a compact handheld console. Its innovative intraflow design incorporates specially engineered air channels that direct cooling precisely to internal components, including the processor, graphics unit, and other critical parts. This results in more efficient heat dissipation without thermal throttling, enabling extended gaming marathons with consistent performance. Even under maximum load, the MSI Claw maintains cool temperatures, quiet operation, and uncompromised power.
Sustained performance under pressure
The intelligent airflow design actively cools both the processor and display, ensuring system stability and keeping the touchscreen comfortably cool during intense gaming sessions.
Maximum airflow efficiency
The Cooler Boost HyperFlow system utilises a perforated fan housing that dramatically improves air intake and exhaust. This enhanced circulation delivers superior cooling performance while maintaining system stability during demanding gameplay.
Advanced silent cooling
Featuring dual heat pipes and twin fans with 77 ultra-thin blades (0.1mm), the MSI Claw achieves powerful airflow while operating at whisper-quiet noise levels.
High-speed onboard memory
Equipped with 24GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x-8000 memory, the MSI Claw delivers instant loading, seamless multitasking, and energy-efficient operation.
Fast, ready, easily expandable
The console comes with a blazing-fast PCIe Gen4×4 SSD that ensures quick game launches and smooth system performance. Need more storage? The rear panel can be easily removed for quick SSD upgrades or replacements.
Immersive gaming on the go
Experience premium gameplay on the 8-inch 120Hz display that delivers vibrant colours and buttery-smooth visuals. The 16:10 golden ratio aspect ratio provides the perfect balance of height and width for comfortable gaming and content viewing. With 500 nits brightness, the screen remains clearly visible in direct sunlight, while IPS technology ensures wide viewing angles and true-to-life colors. The touch-enabled display also features VRR technology to eliminate screen tearing by synchronising refresh rates - all packed in the compact, portable MSI Claw A8 BZ2EM-006CZ.
