CITY
The city of Los Sueños is facing an unprecedented increase in violent crime that has affected the entire metropolitan area. The LSPD, in cooperation with SWAT units, intervenes in the most risky scenarios, from armed robberies and hostage taking, to active bomb threats, to confrontations with fortified and highly dangerous suspects. Residents are advised to limit their movement around the city, travel only when necessary and in some areas stay at home. Despite this, Los Sueños retains its reputation as a place where wealth and success can be achieved, but for an increasing proportion of the population, the luxury life is becoming an unaffordable dream. As Police Chief Galo Álvarez points out, the city suffers from overcrowded apartment blocks and dilapidated affordable housing, which has become a breeding ground for the criminal underworld.

SWAT
In response to this wave of violence, Chief Álvarez called in a seasoned commander, David "Judge" Beaumont, to take command of the LSPD SWAT units. Beaumont is known for his uncompromising approach and ability to keep the team going in extreme conditions. Along with this appointment, the LSPD also announced the recruitment of new members to join the special tactical unit and help return the city to safety. But it's not a job for everyone, according to Beaumont, extremism, corruption, Weapons, Human trafficking and illegal content are a daily reality, that police officers have to deal with in Ready or Not PS5 within the confines of the law.

READINESS
The new LSPD strategy includes updated procedures and a modernised approach to interventions. The city has changed and so have the methods of work. Former hazardous locations have been redesigned and new locations have emerged requiring increased alertness. Four newly identified at-risk neighbourhoods are awaiting intervention, while four other known areas have undergone major changes and will require different tactical approaches. For the SWAT commander, this means not only planning and coordination, but also constant adaptation to current conditions.

TEAM
The role of the LSPD SWAT Commander in Ready or Not PS5 involves assembling a team from a diverse range of specialists, issuing orders, carefully planning missions and overseeing the physical and mental state of officers. Poor mental fitness of members can lead to mistakes in the field, withdrawal from service or tragic events. Injuries can temporarily disable important team members, and if death occurs, it is a permanent loss. Exceptional situations can endanger even the commander himself, so wrong decisions can be fatal.

EXCITEMENT
The LSPD SWAT equipment is among the best that can be obtained in the police service, and additional modern equipment has been newly acquired. Personalisation in Ready or Not PS5 isn't limited to weapons and tech, however; unique uniforms, patches, tattoos and special accessories such as wristwatches can be earned through exceptional performance and team cohesion. In addition, the modernised training centre of the headquarters allows testing of equipment and armament in realistic conditions before deployment to live action.

TRAINING
Improvements in the quality of training and tactical skills within the LSPD mean that SWAT units now have a wider range of options to counter threats. The combination of better coordination and individual autonomy increases the chance of successfully completing even the most challenging missions. Extended basic training is also available to keep important skills and habits at their best.
