The GARDENA smart sensor soil moisture provides all the information you need for efficient and economical garden watering. Thanks to its long probe, the sensor has a wide range and can effectively measure soil temperature and moisture directly at the plant roots, ensuring high accuracy. Paired with a smart irrigation control system and a GARDENA smart gateway, the sensor ensures your plants are only watered when truly necessary, preventing overwatering and water waste. You can also have the measured data sent to the GARDENA smart app via the smart gateway. The device provides accurate data, whether you use it on your lawn, in a flowerpot, or in a planter on your balcony. To receive measured data and ensure the sensor functions correctly, you need a GARDENA smart gateway, which is included in all GARDENA smart system starter sets.

Effective soil moisture measurement all season long
The GARDENA smart sensor acts like a digital “root” with a long probe that accurately measures soil moisture and temperature at various depths and in different soil types. The sensor also has an extremely flat head, so you can easily install it in the middle of your lawn without it getting in the way of robotic or conventional lawnmowers. By wirelessly transmitting data directly to the GARDENA smart gateway, the sensor operates completely automatically and discreetly, and is powered all season by just 2× AA batteries.
