The Garmin Fenix series are iconic smartwatches known for their high durability, long battery life, and versatile sports and outdoor use. They also offer continuous measurement of a wide range of health data, an elegant design, a rich variety of smart features, and compatibility with both iOS and Android smartphones. The 47mm size is suitable for medium to large wrists. Garmin Fenix 8 features a durable titanium bezel and a high-luminosity AMOLED display with bright colours and high resolution. The display can be set to Always On mode or to a sleep mode that extends battery life. In sleep mode, the display wakes up with a gesture when you raise and turn your wrist towards your face. For sports activities, you can independently set whether the display should turn off or remain permanently visible. The durable sapphire crystal provides reliable protection for the display against damage. One of the main innovations of the Fenix 8 (47mm) is its extremely long battery life, which can power the watch for up to 16 days on a single charge in sleep mode. The Garmin watch uses a system of quick-change straps, allowing you to alternate between multiple colours or materials to suit your mood or outfit. Garmin Fenix 8 uses straps compatible with the QuickFit 22mm system.
This watch is from European distribution and is fully localised. This is a limited stock offer and does not include a voucher for the Topo Czech map.
Sports performance is one of the main reasons for choosing a Garmin Fenix series watch. The watch uses a system of sports profiles dedicated to individual sports activities. Each sports profile has its own settings and specific functions for that particular sport. The watch is suitable for most sports activities, both indoor and outdoor. The activities where the watch finds its most frequent use include: walking, running, cycling, swimming, skiing, triathlon, rowing, strength training, yoga, golf, and many other sports. New to the Fenix 8 is its dive computer functionality for recreational freediving and scuba diving down to 40 metres. The watch is now fitted with inductive buttons with haptic feedback and increased water resistance. Even underwater, you can fully control the watch using the buttons without worrying about damaging it.
The sports features of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch also include estimates of fitness metrics, training readiness status, or for example, training load focus. Using daily workout suggestions, the Garmin Coach feature, or through race training plans, the watch can automatically suggest running training plans based on your fitness level and, if applicable, your race schedule, which adapt to you individually. The features of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch are suitable for both beginner and advanced runners.
High durability and long battery life make the Garmin Fenix 8 watch ideal for outdoor activities. For these purposes, the smartwatch is equipped with an electromagnetic compass with automatic tilt correction, a barometric pressure sensor, an altimeter, and a depth gauge. The Garmin watch has preloaded detailed topographic maps of Europe with the option to download detailed maps of other continents. The watch can navigate you accurately using the map, including detailed turn-by-turn directions when following a selected route. Routes can be planned directly on the watch, in the Garmin Connect mobile app, or even using the popular Czech app Mapy.cz. A satellite receiver with support for GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO satellite systems and a multi-band GPS receiver ensures precise position calculation. SatIQ technology provides optimal satellite reception settings, automatically switching between multiple satellite signal reception modes to optimise accuracy and save power. A very practical tool on the watch is the built-in LED torch with red and white light and adjustable intensity.
The long battery life of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch means you can wear it for several days without frequent charging. The watch can therefore continuously measure and record daily and nightly health and activity data. This primarily includes values for heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen saturation, breathing rate, daily steps, floors climbed, and minutes of intense activity. From these measured metrics, the watch derives other functions and metrics, such as Body Battery values, Stress Score, heart rate variability status, temperature and altitude acclimatisation status, and more. The health monitoring functions also include features for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to an overall sleep quality score, the Garmin Fenix 8 watch also measures individual sleep stages, including short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better sleep and recovery.
The Garmin Fenix 8 watch can be paired with smartphones running Android or iOS. On both platforms, the watch offers the ability to make Bluetooth calls directly from your wrist, thanks to its built-in microphone and speaker (the watch does not have a built-in SIM card and requires a connected compatible smartphone nearby for the call function to work). On both platforms, you can of course view notifications and incoming calls on the watch display. If you own an Android phone, you can also reply to messages directly from the watch display. With the Garmin Fenix 8 watch, you can also record short voice notes or use the voice assistant services.
One of the most popular features is contactless NFC Garmin Pay, which lets you add a digital copy of your regular payment card to your Fenix 8 watch (if your card supports the feature) and then pay with your watch in a similar way to using a payment card. Another popular gadget on the watch is the built-in music player with support for offline listening from Spotify, Deezer, or Amazon Music. You can easily connect wireless headphones to your Garmin Fenix 8 watch via Bluetooth and listen to music even without your phone.
To communicate with your smartphone and for long-term storage of measured data, the Garmin Fenix 8 watch uses the Garmin Connect mobile app, which is available to download for free. Both the app and the user interface of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch are fully localised into Czech.
For Fenix 8 watch users, Garmin provides these useful mobile apps:
