You can also choose which of the two hands-free profiles you want to use—adjust the intensity of the higher or lower frequencies to best suit your hearing. The large, backlit, black-and-white graphic display offers a large view of the numbers when dialling and a strong contrast between the black text and the white background. The phone also has an ergonomic keypad with backlit buttons and intuitive controls. The Gigaset A690 can also be expanded by up to four handsets, which you can place anywhere.

With the Gigaset A690, you can ignore specific phone numbers or anonymous callers by adding up to 32 numbers to a blacklist. Once activated, the feature will either reject calls from these numbers or simply display them on the screen without the phone ringing. You can add unwanted numbers to the blacklist manually or copy them from your call history. You can also prevent anonymous calls (i.e., those without caller ID) from ringing and even set time periods when you want the phone to ring or not.
Phonebook and Long Talk Time
The Gigaset A690 makes communication easy with a talk time of up to 14 hours. The device's integrated phonebook can hold up to 100 names and numbers. In addition, the last 25 calls, including the caller's number and the time of the call, are automatically saved. Thanks to a standby time of up to 180 hours, callers can always reach you.
Gigaset A690A with a Built-in Digital Answering Machine
The Gigaset A690 can store messages totalling up to 20 minutes, which you can then listen to conveniently via the handset, base station, or remotely. Once recorded, your messages remain saved even in the event of a power failure. You can even personalise your answering machine by recording your own greeting and setting the maximum recording length.
Always Environmentally Friendly Thanks to ECO DECT
The Gigaset A690 cordless phone is equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology, which means the phone is radiation-free in standby mode, even when using multiple handsets. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the handset and the base station. The shorter the distance between the handset and the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can deactivate ECO DECT mode at any time.
