Filter for intense sun
A category 3 sun filter indicates a high degree of lens tinting. This type of filter is designed for conditions with intense sunlight, such as by the sea or in the mountains on sunny days. It effectively reduces the amount of light that passes through, thus limiting glare without distorting colour perception. The plastic material used for the frames contributes to the low overall weight of the glasses.
